Dear Frank
I have spent the last year freaked out by my secret, honestly. I never considered it could be anything other than a path to more darkness in my life.
Seeing this other person with my secret who has a happy ending. . .it gives me a lot of hope. I know that even though I'm not there yet some day I will be!

I'm the kind of person who can't separate a bunch of bananas in the store because they'll miss each other. I have to buy the whole bunch, or none at all.

i buy the saddest "charlie brown" christmas tree i can find every year because i feel sorry for it, knowing no one else would ever choose it.

I'm a Christian and I'm terrified of what my future husband will think when he realizes I've had practice...

Frank,
Occasionally I pick pretty flowers from trees and leave them places for other people to find.

I used to hate that, too. But after hating it for a long, long time (I am now 43) I realized that I love who I've become so much that I embrace all the awful things that went into the mix and therefore shaped the person I am today.

I'm a feminist, and the most liberating thing I've done is flash a crowd of people!
